The mini-facelift has become a very popular option for our patients who want a more youthful, natural look but with little downtime and less discomfort. Because the mini-facelift is performed under local anesthesia and is less invasive than a full facelift, it is a safer option while still providing our patients with a younger, rested and more energized appearance. The procedure firms the lower facial area, improves definition of the jawline and restores the neck-chin angle.

While the mini-facelift provides an overall lift to the neck and lower third of the face, marked results of the entire face can be achieved by combining a mini-facelift with other common non-invasive procedures such as Botox®, Restylane®, Radiesse® or fat injections. These injectables address concerns of the upper and mid face such as forehead lines and wrinkles, fine lines around the eyes, recession below the eyes, deepened folds on either side of the nose and lack of cheek prominence.

The Procedure - -- The procedure takes from 1-3 hours and varies from patient to patient, depending on the complexity. All of our mini-facelifts are performed in our fully accredited, state-of-the-art surgical suite here at Brookline Place under local anesthesia, with most patients taking a mild sedative beforehand. Discomfort is minimal and the patients leave the office after a short post-operative period.

Recovery (What To Expect) - Some degree of bruising and swelling is to be expected, which will resolve over a 7-10 period. Activity should be limited for the first week following surgery, avoiding strenuous activities for two weeks. Most patients return to work within a week.
