Botox® works by reducing the contractions of the muscles that cause those persistent frown lines and creases that have developed over time. It is injected into the skin to treat mild to severe frown lines between the brows, forehead lines, crows feet lines, drooping corners of the mouth, lip lines and neck folds. Botox® is also most useful in alleviating sweating under the arms and in the hands. With one simple, 10-minute treatment at our Boston facility, results can be seen within a couple of days and can last for up to four months (individual results will vary). There is no recovery time. Many patients have the treatment performed on their lunch hour. After treatment you may experience some redness or swelling.
