Radiesse® at the Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation
Sharp features, sunken cheeks, fine lines, and deep creases – these are all hallmarks of an aging face. Over time, the natural collagen stores break down, leaving tissue lax and deflated. Couple these changes with years of exposure to the harsh elements, sun damage, smoking, weight fluctuations, and genetic disposition, the appearance can begin to look tired, unhealthy, and years older. While there is little that can be done at home to bring back firm skin and youthful facial contours, the experts at the Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation can help.
Radiesse® is one of today’s most trusted dermal fillers, designed with durability, longevity, and versatility in mind. Created to improve the look of facial tissues, showing the early signs of aging, Radiesse® can add lift to the skin, eliminating wrinkles and rejuvenating ‘hollow’ areas. The filler will restore depleted volume under the eyes, across the cheeks, and across the jawline. Best of all, with unique collagen-stimulating properties, Radiesse® promises effective, long-lasting results.
Radiesse® is a thick, calcium-based dermal filler, composed of Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA). The filler’s silky gel builds up the ever-important lower layers of facial tissue, creating a scaffolding to shape and smooth the skin. The filler can effectively restore volume under the eyes; eliminating dark, hollow areas for a more refreshed appearance. Radiesse® can also fill in deep facial lines and creases, accentuate the cheekbones, and create a more prominent jawline. The one-of-a-kind formula means easy injections and immediate results.
- Create more prominent cheekbones
- Erase dark, hollow areas under the eyes
- Smooth deep facial lines
- Restore facial symmetry
- Provide shape for the chin and jawline
The Ideal Candidate for Radiesse®
Anyone noticing the early signs of aging, including a loss of facial volume and deep wrinkles, may benefit from Radiesse®. Those looking for long-term results, but are not yet ready to commit to a surgical procedure, will enjoy the lasting power of Radiesse®. Potential patients should be in overall good health, understand the filler process, and hold realistic expectations for their results.
Prior to treatment with Radiesse®, a consultation will be scheduled at the Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation. After a brief skin evaluation, and review of the medical history, Dr. Miller will explain the dermal filler process. At this time, Dr. Miller will determine if Radiesse® is the correct treatment for the individual patient’s needs. If so, Dr. Miller will create a personalized Radiesse® treatment plan, custom tailored to match their desired results.
Radiesse® Treatments and Results
All Radiesse® injections are applied in one of the Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation’s private treatment rooms. To begin, the target treatment area will be determined. Once the patient is comfortably positioned, Dr. Miller will administer Radiesse® using a very small needle, placing the gel directly under the skin. To ensure a comfortable procedure, a local anesthetic or dental block can be administered before the injections. Each session will take less than an hour, making Radiesse® a convenient part of a ‘lunchtime lift’.
Following Radiesse® injections, there is no required downtime. Patients can resume their daily activities right away, including returning to work or school. After the injections, the treatment area may be mildly red or swollen, although these will quickly resolve. The benefits of a Radiesse® session can be seen that same afternoon. As the body’s collagen stores are rebuilt, the results will last for 18 to 24 months.
The Cost of Radiesse®
The exact cost of a Radiesse® session will depend on the individual patient. During the consultation, Dr. Miller will determine the treatment area, the extent of correction, and the amount of filler necessary. At this time, the final cost of treatment will be established. The Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation does not accept insurance, but for patient convenience, cash and all major credit cards are accepted. Additionally, we offer medical financing through Prosper Healthcare Lending, making facial rejuvenation both easy and affordable. Dr. Miller and his staff are truly top-notch! His staff are so kind and accommodating, and Dr. Miller is always very careful about creating natural-looking results. I’ve seen him for injectibles for a couple years now and am always pleased with the results. I recently had upper and lower eyelid surgery, and I couldn’t be happier! The pain was only a 1 out of 10 — much less than I was…
