This popular and successful alternative to injectable dermal fillers is also known as micro-lipoinjection. Fat Transfer Injections plump up facial features, using your own fat. It is a safe, natural, and non-allergenic procedure that can create more fullness and volume in your cheeks, lips, and chin, restoring and maintaining a youthful appearance to the face. Lines and folds in the face can also improve as well as the quality of the skin. Stem cells and proteins in the fat are likely responsible for this. Fat transfer can also be used to correct atrophic aging of the hands neck and lips. Best of all, fat transfers can last for many years.
THE FAT TRANSFER INJECTIONS PROCEDURE
In most cases, a small amount of fat is liposuctioned from your thighs, abdomen, or buttocks and then transferred to the treatment area(s). Before the procedure takes place, all areas are numbed with a local anesthetic. Once harvested, the fat is processed to remove excess fluids and then re-injected using another needle. This process is repeated until the desired correction or fullness has been achieved.
FAT TRANSFER INJECTIONS RECOVERY
Patients of Fat Transfer Injections may experience some bruising or swelling at the liposuction site or the areas filled with the harvested fat.
FAT TRANSFER INJECTIONS RESULTS
Patients who have had Facial Fat Injections performed by Dr. Leonard Miller are very happy with the results and many return to the Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation for other services like Botox®, medical facials, and advanced laser treatments.
HOW MUCH DO FAT TRANSFER INJECTIONS COST?
Costs associated with Fat Transfer Injections depend on the area being treated and how much fat must be harvested via liposuction to achieve the desired results.
